Mission Statement
The Leon Polk Smith Foundation was established to preserve and promote the art and legacy of Leon Polk Smith (1906-1996). The Foundation encourages and assists museums and other educational organizations to organize and produce exhibitions of and publications on Smith’s work and to create online resources about his art and career. Likewise it may make loans and gifts of Leon Polk Smith’s art and grants to universities, museums and other public and educational organizations to enhance the public appreciation of Smith’s art and that of constructivist artists. The Foundation does not presently make grants to artists or scholars, although such a program may be developed in the future.
The Foundation is always interested to learn about works of art in all media by Leon Polk Smith. Images and details for works can be sent to the Foundation at: [email protected]
All Leon Polk Smith artwork authenticity questions should be addressed to the International Foundation for Art Research: https://www.ifar.org/authentication.php
