Art Work > Drawings and Collages > 1950s > untitled

Abstract circular 'tondo' on paper by Leon Polk Smith - A square turned on it's side to form a diamond, cut in half, the left side black and the right side white. The space left within the circle on the left is white and red on the right. The overall feel of this painting is that of start geometric primitive shapes perfectly aligning with each other to form a centered balance.
Paper and pencil on paper, 14 x 9? in. / 35.6 x 25.1 cm.
